Cultivation
Avalim thrives best on well drained sandy soil. During multi-annual research, for the white cultivation the best results were achieved with a plant density of 3.5 - 4 plants per linear metre and a plant depth of 16 - 20 cm. For the cultivation of green asparagus the plant density can be increased by approximately 30%. Due to its natural earliness, Avalim is very well suitable for extra advancing cultivation measures and advancing by use of thermal foil or a mini-tunnel. Even under various covering variants, Avalim produces high-Quality crops.

Product
Avalim has a good production potential, good quality and proper thickness. The product is white, has a firm tip and is hardly or not at all sensitive to hollow stems, breaking and physiological rust. 70% of the products fall under sorting class 16 - 28 mm. The Avalim offers a great flavour, which makes it excellently suitable for selling from home.

Foliage
The quite uniform foliage of Avalim has a dark colour, is, firmly raised and strongly developed. The foliage is strong against composition, leaf diseases and remains green until well into autumn. These good foliage properties thus make Avalim also excellently suitable for organic cultivation.
